This is another episode showcasing the apprenticeship of Ms. Joan Watson under consulting detective Mr. Sherlock Holmes. However, with only three episodes left in the season, I think they started the apprenticeship a bit late.

Not a lot of action on the NYPD's part, but we do have a new character joining us: Alfredo, who you might recognize as the carjacker from Episode 8. Now we have two black guys, one Asian woman, and two white guys (an American and an Englishman in New York), effectively making this the most racially diverse procedural on American television right now. I think.
